Loving with Feelin, Reggae music, Video shoot

I’d like to send my condolences to the family of Michelle Melody Creese and say she will be truly missed by us all at SVE Music but you will never be forgotten, may you Michelle rest in eternal peace, and even though we mourn the loss of our friends and colleagues in these perilous times . . . our works continue!

Over the July Blackout weekend we shot another music video for one of our new tracks coming of the Grantie Asher ‘Flip Side’ album.

Shot in a secure location with the uttermost respect for our safety and care, abiding to the rules of social distancing and practicing safe socialising we proceeded to have what was a very lovely days work, which I can say was enjoyed by all after months of lockdown.

Grantie Asher, forever a showman, was impeccably dressed as ever in formal attire singing his new Lovers rock track, for the cameras. With acting support from myself (Starrvybz) in a support role and also Michelle James playing the leading lady role.

We’d like to thank all of you who was invited down to the video shoot and all who came out to support thank you.

This album was due for release 25th of July 2020 but with the out break of Corona we’ve decided to delay the release but continue to release singles until life settles back into normality or a new norm only god knows which, but we will continue to put out our works.

Here are some pictures from the video shoot, the video shall be online in a few weeks from now.

Greetings Kings & Queens

SVE Music are proud to present ‘Silhouette’ by Grantie Asher, our next single release for 2020. Some of you may already be familiar with this instrumental the Tramplers Riddim, a dancehall fusion originally released as a promo pre-release back in 2018 but still remained unreleased until now.

2020 will see the full release of this Riddim album by mid-summer. Grantie has already voiced ‘A Kiss is . . .’ on the Tramplers Riddim but I thought we’d freshen it up for 2020.

This song Silhouette is a song I’m sure you all know, originally sung by The Rays a Doo-Wop quartet from New York in 1957.

This song has been covered no less than 60 times including a cover from the crowned prince of reggae legendary Dennis Brown

The government has hammered home its coronavirus lockdown message by texting the nation.

Boris Johnson, Covid-19, NHS

An SMS message has been sent out to every active UK phone number telling people to stay at home to “protect the NHS” and “save lives”.

Britons were warned new rules are “in force now” with a link to the latest COVID-19 advice, which says no-one should leave their house unless absolutely necessary or they will face a fine.

PM sets out when Britons can leave home

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the historic lockdown in an address to the nation on Monday night.

He told members of the public they should only go outside for four reasons: work (if they can’t do so from home), shopping for food or medicines, exercise once a day, to help someone vulnerable, or for any medical need.

A former Met Police chief superintendent, Dal Babu, said the aim was likely to make people understand there is now a “much clearer message” from Downing Street.

He told Sky News’ Kay Burley@Breakfast: “Unfortunately the government has been a little bit behind the curve here, because it’s entirely predictable that emergency services – not just in the NHS, but in the police and fire brigade – will become unwell.

Fans Upset After Casanova Shoots Music Video During Pandemic But He Doesn’t Care

Casanova, Covid-19

Fans are not impressed with Casanova who seems to be ignoring global health warnings.

Coronavirus is no joke as the exponential infection rate has shown. With more than 16,000 deaths worldwide as a result of the pandemic, many governments have placed their countries on lockdown to stop the virus from spreading. In places that have not, citizens have been instructed to practice social distancing which involves staying six feet away from others, while most are staying home altogether.

Casanova is not one of these people.

The “Don’t Run” rapper ventured out to shoot a music video and posted proof on IG. “About four thousand to cut this grass,” the 33-year-old said. “As long as this grass needs cutting, as long as I got to pay child support, as long as I got to pay lawyer fees, I’m the fuck outside. I’m not violating corona… I’m working. I’m busy.”

Even more disturbingly, Casanova said, “We all test positive for corona. We don’t give a f***. We outside. We don’t give a f***.” We don’t know whether the New York native was joking, but if he is serious then he is putting loads of people at risk. Social media users were understandably not impressed with Casanova’s behavior. Calling him wack, one person on Twitter asked who is going to take the rapper’s phone.

Casanova is not the only one out here shooting music videos. DaBaby made his directorial debut as he stepped behind the camera on Rich Dunk’s music video for “Gas Gas”. The “Bop” rapper revealed that Rich “ain’t stopped working at all” as he shared a video from the second day of filming. “Had to mute it to keep you b**** a** n***** from stealing sauce. On set of @richdunk_lok “GAS GAS” Video Shoot,” he wrote.

We reckon they should all be staying home.

Dancehall Icon Elephant Man Charged For Lying About COVID-19, Faces Jail Time

Covid-19, Elephant Man, Jamaica

Elephant Man dancehall
Elephant Man is looking at some possible jail time for lying to immigration about COVID-19.

A few days ago, dancehall deejay Elephant Man took to social media to share his side of the story about what happened at the Sangsters International airport that eventually led to him being sought after by the Minister of Health and law enforcement. Elephant Man also apologized profusely in his videos for failing to accurately list all his travel destinations amidst the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus, COVID-19. Sadly for Ele, the apology was not enough as a law enforcement team rolled up to his premises and charged the “No Junjo” deejay along with serving him a summons.

The dancehall icon has been charged with breaching Section 8(5) of the Immigration Act, which mandates that people who are arriving on the island of Jamaica, to give honest testimonies to Immigration authorities at the various ports/airports of disembarkation. While Elephant Man has confessed that he has not left his house since making his way from the airport, he will be required to appear in court on April 15 to answer to his charges. According to Loop News, a source close to the situation mentioned, “He will be forcefully placed in a government-mandated quarantine facility beginning today.”

The fine connected to the offense in question is JMD$100.00. With such a small fine, the accused has to look at what other negatives could be derived from the situation. Elephant Man’s concerns should now turn to the fact that he may see himself having a criminal record if he is convicted of his crimes. This could lead to fewer bookings and a possibility of his massive comeback being halted due to disgruntled fans.

Elephant Man has already picked up a severe social media bashing following the incident, with many highlighting that the artiste showed his selfish side instead of thinking about the good of the people of Jamaica. Elephant Man was among a crew of other acts making their way from Europe, one of the worst affected areas.

The “Energy God” has confessed on numerous occasions that his intention was never to hurt anyone.
