TREVOR DIXON was born in Jamaica in the parish of St James. He was educated both in Jamaica and the U.K.
It was while at primary school, he was drafted into various school concerts and encouraged to take up singing but his interest were more into playing with marbles and Cricket.
His father and uncles were all accomplished musician so it was almost inevitable he would follow the family’s tradition Trevor join the rest of his family in the U.K. and continued his education. His School curriculum includes Music and Drama. While attending the local Methodist church He founded the church Band with members of the local youth club.
He moved on from there to front bands like SYNCOPATERS, PREMIER, SUS BAND WELLCHARGE AND ZABANDIS. While with Zabanbis he toured with the likes of the legendary FRED LOCKS, JOHN HOLT PRINCE JAZZBO, JAH WHOOSH, and EASTWOOD & SAINTS AND MANY MANY MORE.
He made his first recording in 1975…. With a song called second chance after which he went solo and record three singles for HAWKEYE RECORDS that made his mark in the recording industry.
He then moves on to RUFF CUTT stable where he recorded several singles among which were titles like MARY, CRY CRY BABY AND MOON AND STARS.
He then change labels again, moving on to GROOVE & AQUARTER where he score his biggest hit to date WOMAN OF MOODS WHICH stayed at No1in the reggae charts for a total of 4 weeks, in August 1988
Since then he has continue writing songs for other artistes, such as Harmonie Dejaand recording for various producers like Winston (Sifu) Brown and Starrvybz as well as working the clubs and PA circuit.
Trevor is a member of the SUS BAND with a new Album and single PICK YOURSELF UP to be release Summer 2017 and a SOLO album also scheduled for 2017 as well as Singles from the Starrvybz camp.
